11月に向けて For November
9日は、門島でレザーカーヴィングの日でした。
この日は、新しい見学の人が同席して、いつもより一層笑い声が響きました。
開始すぐに、先生は11月の発表会の予定について、みんなに説明をしました。
On the 9th, it was a leather carving day at Kadoshima. On this day, new students were present and laughter sounded even more than usual. As soon as the craft time began, the teacher explained to everyone about the schedule of the presentation in November.
展示する作品が多いほど良いので、先生はみんなにどれくらい作品を展示できるか聞いていました。レザーカーヴィングの作品は、素材の革に装飾を施すことから始まるので、普通の革細工よりも時間を使います。
一日８時間、毎日作業するなら、仕上がりまでの日数は短くなるでしょうが、ここでは隔週２時間ずつの制作ですから、たくさん出品できる人は、それだけ長い年月を使って作っているということになります。
As the number of exhibited works is better, the teacher was asking how much work can be exhibited to everyone. Leather carving's work starts with decorating leather material, so we spend more time than ordinary leather work.
If we work everyday for 8 hours a day, the number of days to finish will be shorter, but here is the work every 2 hours every other week. Therefore, the person who can display work a lot has spent a lot of time.
一年に一度の、村の発表会ですから、普段にはない良い機会です。
今年も良い作品を紹介できるように、みんな頑張っています。
The announcement meeting once a year is a very good stimulus.
